Omar Bitar is a self-taught Jordanian filmmaker known for creating resonant and genre-fluid short films. He began his filmmaking journey at the age of 14 years old, documenting his father's motorcycle rides — a hobby that soon evolved into a calling.
His first public release, the high school project Zebloa, marked the start of an independent path outside formal film school. Since graduating high school, Omar has written and directed a diverse range of short films — from horror to comedy to abstract experimental pieces.
His work has earned official selections and semi-finalist spots in film festivals around the globe.
"In every project, I ask for one thing from my audience: their time. In return, I strive to craft a story that stays with them — long after the credits roll."
